Would you please tell me who is the original translator for French, so that he may be invited here and be registered on the WTS, also to suggest some little typos to fix? TIA smile.gif

The French translation is by our Songbird community member 'GeekShadow' - I've already emailed him to tell him he can help out here smile.gif

I'm new here, but have translated a few applications/extensions over the years.

In the translation of Last.fm-extension for Songbird, there wasn't any text for one of the entries (tracks_before), and therefore I couldn't translate it 100%, so I've entered a dot in the field.

I hope you can tell me why this is, and how to "translate nothing". smile.gif

rolleyes.gif It is possible there are two parts of the same sentence because the entity names suggest that
lastfm.profile.numtracks.before
lastfm.profile.numtracks.after

So maybe the final renderance must be something like " 15 / tracks scrobbled" in English, and possibly in another language the order of elements is different
"abbiamo trovato / 15 tracce" for Italian
So the dot may not be a good idea. Better use & nbsp;

(to be confirmed. Or not)

That's exactly right. I'm not sure what the best way to represent this is. Are there other examples of this that work? The problem for me is that the number is in a different DOM node than the text. I'm not sure how to do that with string formats.

One approach might be to have the string like "# tracks scrobbled" and then based on where the "#" is in the translated string split the result and fill in the right values.

When are you going to update the translations? We are having reports of wrong translations for es-ES.

Best regards.

I've just updated the extension and I see the old old strings for es-ES. Please could you upload the babelzilla ones please?

Regards.

Why, are there any new strings to translate? The developer is responsible for this, so you could also contact him...

I've just done a fairly big update that adds Last.fm Radio support. Please let me know if you encounter any bugs or issues localising it.

cheers,
steve

We moved the top header of radio stations (Library, Loved, Recommended, Neighbourhood) into the sidebar which necessitated two new strings in the overlay.dtd for "User Stations" and "Play". We're looking to ship this add-on in the next week or so... I'll be doing bi-weekly updates after that if you don't have time to do translations in the next week. As always, thanks!!!
