Hello Quicksaver,

I've completed Japanese locales (ja-JP / ja-JP-mac).
Thank you for your great add-on.

Thank you very much for that. I've always wondered, what's the difference between ja-JP and ja-JP-mac? As far as I can tell, ja-JP-mac is not a valid Firefox locale.

Hello Quicksaver,

Thank you for your work! I use Firefox' tab groups every day, so thanks to your addon I will not yell in despair after the next Firefox upgrade ;-)

I thought I should contribute to this, so I quickly translated Tab Groups in French.

I'm not sure it's perfect, as I'm not a pro and it's my first addon translation. Maybe it would be better if another French-speaking contributor reviewed my work.

I Hope it helps!

Have a nice day

Officially, Firefox has 2 Japanese locales.
"ja" is for Windows and Linux. "ja-JP-mac" is for Mac that has its specific terms defined by Apple.
BTW, "nn-NN-xxx" is allowed form to represent dialects.

I meant, what are these specific terms defined by Apple? As far as I know, only some of the keyboard keys changes, and the add-on itself already accounts for this, and works in exactly the same way across all OS's.

I'm asking because I can't find any information about the specifics of why japanese is (or should be) different in mac. I'm very curious about this, and would definitely be interested in knowing if I should adapt anything within the add-on itself for this.

This spec is Japanese language only.
They are different between Windows and Mac in Japanese. In English, they are same word.

We define them here for Japanese l10n of Mozilla products:

Hi Arnaud,

Thank you for your work! I'll be sure to include it in the next update. :)

By the way, you don't need to comment here to let me know, by simply changing the locale status to "released" I automatically get a notification e-mail about it. ;)

Hello Quicksaver,

OK it's noted, but I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you !

I love the automatic grid layout, much easier than the old free arrange mode. The group swapping on drag'n'drop is a bit odd nonetheless, I think it would be more consistent if it "inserted" the group (same behaviour as the tab drag'n'drop). I see there's already an issue for that : https://github.com/Quicksaver/Tab-Groups/issues/266

Hello Quicksaver,

I've updated the French translation.

Is there a reason why this locale never was included in the add-on ?

Thanks in advance

I just didn't have a chance to work on it until now, so there have been no new updates since then. It will be included in the very next update of course. Thank you for your work on the translation, I'm sure many users will appreciate it. :)
