Release 0.6 only removed a few redundant strings and added better descriptions to many of those more "technical"; I hope that it clarifies some possible doubts.

I found that I messed up the last update and I left out a file from the babelzilla build: some locales lost the translation of the strings (only 2) included in this file. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I fixed the two strings in the French localization.

I shortened/changed the string you told me. It says now 'Restart after language selection' in German.

Greek locale is ready/released, after i tested it in my environment

German locale (de) updated, tested and released.

Just tested and released a Russian translation. I'll probably make a Ukrainian one soon.

EDIT: Aaand Ukrainian is done as well.

Arabic (ar) and Esperanto (eo) Translations are completed and released.

But I can't find all the strings while testing. For example, I couldn't find these strings:
- "Simple Locale Switcher Options" [preferences-os.win.dtd] (Maybe it's for Windows only?)
- "Language packs provide additional languages for the interface of Firefox and extensions" [extensions.dtd]
- "Learn more about language packs" [extensions.dtd]
and some others.

 

BTW, I can't see the translated extension description in the extensions pane in the Add-ons Manager. I see the English one only. I don't see any string from "meta.properties". Is this because I am using the testing extension?

the different wording for Options/Preferences used upstream in Arabic Firefox (prefWindow.titleWin and prefWindow.title)

Both of them are visible in the Language panel of the Add-ons Manager only when no languages packs are found installed.

It's expected. The strings in the meta.properties are integrated manually: they need be added to the install.manifest file of the add-on. They will be translated in the public release.

I suggest that it's explained, in a little more detail, where and when each string is shown, in the translation files, to facilitate translating and testing. It would be great!
