German:

1. Dieses Projekt wurde wegen mangeldem Interesse stillgelegt.

2. Dieses Projekt wurde wegen der geringen Anzahl an Aufrufen stillgelegt.

On 1.: I assume the lack of interest is about interest of "the community/world/others", not about yours?

I translated abandoned as "stillgelegt", which implies it may possibly be revived at some point in time, without implying that it is planed.

The term abandoned can also be translated as "eingestellt", implying that it is dead forever.

If the message is used when the last source code will continue to be available, but no longer worked on, "auf Eis gelegt" instead of

abandoned would be good ("put on ice").

In the later case, it helps to include the date of freezing, to estimate bit rot since then.

Thank you for your reply and for additional explanation.

Mentioned interest is really related to public, not to me :-)
